Ysannah Avient-Lario is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Design program at the University of Alberta. Her work is largely illustrative, with particular focus areas on children’s media, sequential art, and game design. Her dream is to use her art form to spark positive change for upcoming generations, using an approachable visual language to address and unpack contemporary issues such as climate change. Ysannah is thrilled to be furthering her studies in animation at Sheridan College in the coming academic year, hoping to add more tools to her design toolkit which can bring this dream to fruition.
