BUNDLE incorporates several different components folded into a literal “bundle” of knowledge: Indigenous oral storytelling teachings; a poetic zine that combines intersectional feminist and Indigenous ways of knowing and world-views, including Indigenous prophecies; cedar and tobacco, which are used in Indigenous teaching and ceremony; a birch-bark print; and other visually impactful images connected to place and Indigenous prophecy.
This project is the result of years of conversations, collaborations and learnings between different Elders, Knowledge Keepers, youth, and friends across several Treaty 6 nations in Alberta and Saskatchewan— Onion Lake Cree Nation, Big River First Nation, Saddle Lake Cree Nation — and communities within Canada and around the world. Indigenous knowledge sovereignty has been respected in part by having collaborators speak for themselves. Please check out the additional audio recordings on the FluxKit website and the storied versions in the We Were In It book (links coming soon).
