Enjoy a multi-sensory experience by touring the Edmonton Waste Management Centre and exploring the site to reinvigorate your artistic practice and by looking through a new lens. Take in the sights, sounds, and smells while taking photos, drawing, recording sounds, and documenting the visit. Collect ideas and imagery and be inspired by the vast array of material and possibilities during this professional development session. Former EWMC Artist in Residence Leanne Olson will guide you through the facilities and share her experiences, research, and process. On the Sunday come to SNAP Printshop to share, show, and tell your experiences and documentation with the group, to learn about material and medium possibilities and to have the opportunity to discuss where you want to take your ideas and artwork. This workshop is open to anyone interested in art-making and in repurposing materials.
